research team at Maple Leaf Medical Clinic in Toronto and be an

Position Description

We are looking for an experienced clinical data professional to enhance
our research capacity by implementing improved data entry and
management processes. You will be responsible for developing,
documenting and managing data entry, quality control and audit
procedures. You will ensure the validity of data for clinical research
and also organize data for medical review and statistical analysis
through the production of structured queries and reports. You will work
closely with clinicians, researchers and clinic coordinators to ensure
the ongoing relevance, completeness and accuracy of the data. A
detail-oriented individual with proven project management and
communication skills, you will have the ability to work effectively in
a high-paced clinical and research environment operating an electronic
medical information system.

Experience & Expertise

Experience in clinical data processing and management (3-5 years minimum)
Knowledge of electronic medical information systems
Demonstrated ability defining and documenting data
processing, quality control and audit procedures experience
Ability to define and generate ad hoc queries and
standard reports using clinical information and research database
Strong knowledge of data architecture/modeling concepts and methods
SAS/SPSS/STATA and SQL knowledge is preferred
Familiarity with clinical coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10, CCP, WHO-ATC, etc. ) is an asset
Excellent communication and project management skills are required

A university degree in a relevant discipline (life
science, physical or biological sciences, or information systems
Other accreditations relevant to clinical data management
Compensation: $40,000-60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
