What are we about

We welcome you to OHPE, our health blog where everyone can learn and gather information. This blog is created by three women in healthcare, each with a passionate to help others. Jen, Carrie, and Meg all bring a wealth of knowledge to this platform. We are proud to share the experiences we have and our healthcare expertise. We hope this will help you on your path to better health and your wellness goals.

Let’s introduce a bit about each of us! Jen is a licensed Physical Therapist, and focuses on preventing injuries and sports medicine. She enjoys educating people in the best practices to get active and remain healthy. She shares the healing elements of physical elements as well as how it can create a stronger body so that you are less likely to become injured. She shared details about creating an exercise routine that works for your abilities.

Eating food that is good for you and balanced portions is important for your well-being. Carrie is a licensed Dietician, with expertise in the areas of lifestyle as medication and nutrition from plant-based sources. Food can help to heal the body and prevent an array of health concerns. To reach your best health potential, consider changing to a diet filled with plant-based foods and whole-foods. Cutting out the processed foods and sugar will help you have energy and feel your best.

Teaching yoga is one of Meg’s favourite activities. She is also a licensed nurse and enjoys teaching about holistic choices and health benefits. She provides information on how to balance the body and mind but she takes it to the next level by adding the spirit to the mix. Changing your mindset through meditation and being mindful can help you experience the happiness and quality of life you desire.

All of us bring unique qualities to the blog, and it gives us the chance to share information on a wide variety of topics influencing health. This includes those that influence the body, the mind, and your mental health. Reducing stress is something we cover as a way to help you relax and feel your best. We discuss exercise routines and nutritional options. We also look at alternative therapy so that you don’t just rely on medication to feel better.

The purpose of this blog is to deliver information in a caring manner. The information is evidence-based and practical. You can put it in motion in your life to reach your goals. If you wish to be healthier and more in balance. Our blog is supportive and we want everyone in this community to feel welcome.
