Site Support Clerk, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto


Description



Working under the direction of the Project Coordinator, the site support clerk will be involved in a research study of a medication management service delivered to seniors in a supportive housing program located in the Region of Peel. The incumbent will require a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle in order to enable site visits to several seniors' apartment buildings in the region of Peel.



Formal Education



University or community college education in gerontology, health care and/or social sciences



Experience



* Minimum two years of office experience

* Demonstrated interest and/or experience in working with the elderly



Skills



* Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

* Proven organizational skills

* Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Word, Excel, and the Internet

* Attention to detail and sound judgement

* Proven ability to work independently and as a team member

* Ability to meet deadlines



Duties

* Arrange interviews with seniors and ensure necessary participants are present

* Organize and maintain confidential project forms

* Perform general office duties such as typing letters, faxing, filing, and photocopying

* Coordinate schedules of research assistant(s) and pharmacist

* Liaise with and support research team and staff members of a supportive housing program, when required

* Assist with arrangement of focus group meetings and social events for project participants

* May be required to travel to the various supportive housing sites



Start Date: June 2005 to November 2005



Position Type: Casual (two to four days a week)
