Regent Park Community Health Centre Community Succession Project


The Community Succession Project involves a range of interventions to address education and employment barriers faced by the diverse low income communities served by Regent Park Community Health Centre.



The 5 year project is designed to ensure that:

* local agencies and businesses will hire local people

* residents from Regent Park will be more able to access education and training

* the diverse population groups in the area will have the knowledge, networks and supports to allow them to play a fully productive role in the economic and social life of the city.

Research Coordinator (0.5 F.T.E.)



The research coordinator will ensure that the project is effectively documented and evaluated as a model; that research methods appropriate to the unique nature of the community and project activities are developed and applied; that indicators of project success are effectively developed and measured; that research needs of the project are met. The researcher will create opportunities for residents from the catchment area to work on research related tasks. Must have substantial community based research experience; skills in managing projects within tight timeframes; training experience; computer literacy including Internet; excellent verbal and written presentation skills. Pro-rated salary scale: $19,575 - $25,298 (plus percentage in lieu of benefits); Residents from the catchment area of Regent Park CHC are encouraged to apply.
