How to avoid alcohol related problems at your Christmas Party

Last February, Linda Hunt successfully sued her boss Sutton Realty for damages after she crashed her car driving home drunk from the office Christmas Party. The story generated a lot of talk about who was right, who was wrong, who was responsible and who should be responsible. The big question people are asking now, as they start to think about and plan for this year's Christmas party is "How can I make sure this doesn't happen to me?"

The Waterloo Region Community Health Department, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Waterloo Regional Police want to help you prepare for your next office Christmas party. On Thursday September 20, Robert Solomon, Canada's leading expert on alcohol liability, from Western University in London is coming to the Kitchener Auditorium to speak about alcohol liability and your Christmas party.

Professor Solomon will explain the alcohol liability laws and their implications for your celebrations. He will then spend the majority of the time explaining, with concrete examples, what you can do to prevent problems from happening in the first place.

Seminar takes place: Thursday September 20, 1-4pm or 7-9:30pm

Location: Kitchener Memorial Auditorium - Kitchener Ontario

Cost: $20/person or 3 for $50
