Join EENet for a free webinar to learn about the Acceptance Project: An anti-stigma intervention.

Emily Lentinello and Dr. Mark van der Maas will introduce and discuss how the project focused on preventing stigma toward people with mental health and substance use problems by Community Health Centre (CHC) staff, using an innovative intervention. The event will conclude with a 20-minute dialogue and question period with participants.

Who should attend:

Service providers; clinicians; primary care providers; individuals involved in systems-level governance, policy, and planning; persons with lived experience/self-identified family; and peer support workers.


Emily Lentinello is a Project Coordinator and Special Advisor in the Office of Transformative Global Health at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. With masters’ degrees in both medical anthropology and social work, Emily has worked in mental health research for almost 20 years. In addition to working in Canada, Emily has also worked in health research in the U.K. and South Africa.

Dr. Mark van der Maas is a post-doctoral fellow in the Institute for Mental Health Policy research at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. His research interests include problem gambling, addressing stigma in healthcare, cannabis regulation, and Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
