The Brant County Health Unit is an accredited community health agency that provides public health programs and services to a mixed urban and rural population of approximately 130,000. Situated on the banks of the Grand River, Brantford is short drive to Toronto, London and Hamilton.
Manager, Quality Assurance & Professional Practice
The Manager, Quality Assurance & Professional Practice will be responsible for providing quality assurance and professional practice support to program managers and directors. The Manager will assist in identifying training and development opportunities; leading the student preceptor development and orientation; and participating in policy and procedure review and development. Other duties include but are not limited to supervising program staff, supporting the development and review of learning plans and fulfilling learning objectives; participating in development and workplan of Professional Practice Committee; and ongoing support in CQI initiatives
Qualified applicants must possess a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, as well as a Master’s degree focused in public health or nursing. Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required. In addition to at least seven years’ nursing experience, applicants must demonstrate progressive leadership and management skills, including significant public health experience.
We offer an attractive benefit package and starting salary range, $93,024 – 107,760 per annum.
