Urban Legacy Academy, 8-80 Cities

Toronto, Ontario
November 4-5, 2014

8-80 Cities is hosting an upcoming raining opportunity to strengthen the work of community advocates and organizations the Bloor West Village Residents Association.

The Urban Legacy Academy is an interactive learning experience that will equip older adults with the tools they need to create safer, happier, and healthier communities.

Over the course of two days, you will learn how to:

  • Effectively engage decision makers and elected officials in issues that matter to your community
  • Apply best practices on walkability and bikeability
  • Assess the vibrancy of local parks and public spaces
  • Implement community projects

The Academy will include inspiring presentations by some of Canada’s leading urban activists, hands-on activities, and interactive walking tours. As a community leader, we encourage you to share this unique opportunity with BWVRA members who may be interested.
