The Regent Park Community Health Centre is a community-based primary health organization. It provides a mix of medical, nursing, social work, community health, community development, early childhood development, youth support and other services to a diverse community with complex health and social issues in downtown Toronto.  

Clinic Coordinator
Permanent, Part-time (21 Hours per Week)
Salary Range $54,035 to $65,103 (pro-rated) plus Competitive Benefits

You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and effective operation of the primary care clinic.   You will work closely with clinical and administrative staff to identify operational needs, address emerging issues and manage clinical supplies and equipment.  You will lead quality and efficiency improvement initiatives using data and other feedback for continuous results-based management.  You will manage the provider schedule and provide operational oversight of client flow ensuring duties such as intake and discharge, screening, urgent care, programs and clinics are staffed appropriately.  In addition, you will supervise and manage the Chiropody service.  You will promote a safe and healthy workplace where risks are appropriately managed.  

You will work closely with the Clinical Director, Reception Coordinator and others to ensure the co-ordination of work, responsiveness to Centre and client/community needs, and fulfilment of the strategic mission, vision, goals and objectives.    

A strong team player with leadership skills, you have excellent communication and problem solving abilities.  You have strengths in managing complex schedules in an interdisciplinary environment and sound knowledge of primary health care.  You understand health and social issues from a systemic perspective and can operate within an anti-oppression framework.  Knowledge of the Regent Park community and the Community Health Centre model are key assets.  You have a nursing diploma or degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a primary care setting and are registered in good standing with the appropriate regulatory college.
