Developing an Evidence-informed Alcohol Intervention Webinar, PHO

Online
June 26, 2012

11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

How do we decide what actions to take within an alcohol intervention? The Online Health Program Planner (http://www.thcu.ca/ohpp/index.cfm) follows an evidence-informed, six step planning process to assist with these decisions. The Situational Assessment (step 2 of the planning process) informs decisions about strategies and activities. In this 90-minute webinar, we will explain how to carry out these steps, and how the OHPP can support you in the planning process. Examples of alcohol-related interventions from the OHPP Sample Plan Library (http://www.thcu.ca/ohpp/plan_library.cfm), and sources of alcohol-related evidence will be highlighted throughout.

To register, visit http://alcoholinterventions.eventbrite.com/.

Ben Rempel and Jodi Thesenvitz, the presenters for the webinar on June 16, 2012, will also be available for informal, one-on-one, free consultations in follow-up to the webinar.

These consultations can be on any area of alcohol policy or the Online Health Program Planner (OHPP).

If you would like to sign up for a time to consult with Ben or Jodi, you can do so by going to http://alcoholinterventionconsults.eventbrite.com/ and registering for one of the consultation sessions.  Once you have signed up, you will be contacted via email to provide a sentence or two about your topic for consultation.

Once a consultation session is booked, that time is held for you.  If you find you can’t attend, please contact Hasina Jamal at hasina.jamal@oahpp.ca or call 647-260-7471 to cancel or to rebook.

Of course, you are also able to request a free consultation at any time with our field support specialists by completing the brief form:  http://www.thcu.ca/consultation/request_form.cfm.
