Increasingly, communities and organizations are collaborating to solve some of the most complex issues facing them including poverty, newcomer settlement, neighbourhood revitalization and building healthy communities. The Leadership, Governance and Community Collaboratives workshop will focus on the governance challenges of working collaboratively and provide participants with insights and strategies designed to increase effectiveness.
During the workshop, participants will:
- Explore the leadership qualities required for effective community collaboration
- Learn about tools and strategies to enhance collaborative efforts
- Learn about the four phases of collaborative efforts and the traps to avoid
- Advance your community's agenda by increasing knowledge and commitment of community partners
The cost of this workshop, including a copy of the book Cities Reducing Poverty: How Vibrant Communities are Creating Comprehensive Solutions to the Most Complex Problem of our Times, lunch and handouts, is $245 per person (including HST). For groups of two, the registration fee is $225 per person (including HST). For groups of three or more, the registration fee is $195 per person (including HST).
