Description

Working under the general direction of the project director, this position will provide support for evaluation and research. The incumbent will be responsible for qualitative analyses; literature searches, reviews and syntheses; and project coordination.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Masters degree in public health or relevant social science discipline

Experience

  • Minimum two (2) years relevant experience in an evaluation research environment. Experience in: qualitative research methods, tobacco industry document analyses, conducting literature searches, reviews, and syntheses, report writing and project coordination. Knowledge of public health or tobacco control programs and policy, and tobacco control research. Training and experience in program and policy evaluation would be a definite asset.

  • High-level writing skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all parts of the University, government and external stakeholders, the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team. Demonstrated initiative and flexibility. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to exercise good judgment and problem-solving skills; proven ability to work effectively under pressure of high volume or work and constantly changing priorities.

Appointment Type :Grant - Term

Pay Scale Group and Hiring Rate: 06B -- $61,240 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $78,247 - Pay Rates effective July 1, 2009.
