The Lawson Foundation - Diabetes Funding Opportunity
Submission Deadline August 17, 2009
The Lawson Foundation invites letters of intent to support innovative projects that address:
1) the prevention of diabetes in at-risk populations; and/or
2) the delivery of health care to those who are living with diabetes.
The current round of funding plans to award $1.2 million to projects that best meet the funding criteria. Sustainable community-centred projects promoting partnerships are encouraged.
Since the launch of its Diabetes Funding Strategy in 2001-02, the Foundation has made 25 grants totalling $3 million for projects across Canada.
The Diabetes Funding Opportunity is posted on http://www.lawson.ca with a link to our online Letter of Intent application form. The maximum grant amount is $150,000 payable over 24 months (maximum $75,000 per 12-month period). We request that letters of intent be submitted in English in light of our limited staff resources.
Please share this announcement widely with diabetes health care professionals and lay/community leaders.
