Position Summary

Working with the Director, this position is responsible for developing and implementing the components of the Aboriginal Tobacco Strategy.  The Manager will assist in creating interventions to address tobacco prevention and promotion and advise on key issues to advance policy and programmatic initiatives.  Relationship building will also occur at the community level with First Nation, Métis, and off-reserve Aboriginal communities as well as other stakeholders.

Qualifications Include

Master's degree in social sciences/planning, including health studies, native studies, etc. with minimum 5 years experience in Aboriginal health/communities in program management.

OR a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years related experience; experience working with Aboriginal peoples and knowledge of community based participatory research, community development, protocols and governance structures related to the administration of Aboriginal programs.
