Casual Public Health Nurses, Middlesex-London Health Unit
The Middlesex-London Health Unit is currently seeking nurses for a variety of assignments in all areas of public health nursing. Casual nurses have opportunities to work short or long term assignments in Communicable Disease and Sexual Health (Immunization Clinics, STI and Family Planning Clinics), Environmental Health and Chronic Disease Prevention (for projects and leave replacements), Family Health (Infant Line, Health Connection, leave replacements, etc.), and R.E.E.D. We are also seeking nurses who are primarily interested in teaching evening Prenatal Classes. Successful candidates will be required to teach five or more series per year (one series is four classes, over five weeks). Along with a Prenatal Assignment, successful candidates may also work in other areas of the Health Unit. Posting # PHNCASPRENATAL-0407/10.
Candidates must have a B.Sc.N. and current CNO certification. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are necessary. Candidates must be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, the Internet, and e-mail. A valid driver's licence and use of a vehicle is required. Flexible work hours are required. The ability to communicate in French and other languages would be considered an asset.
Interviews are planned for June 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 13, 2007.
Orientation is planned for July 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 2007.
