Nurse Practitioner, North Kingston Community Health Centre

FT/PT Contract
Immediately to October 2007

The North Kingston Community Health Centre (NKCHC), a part of Kingston
Community Health Centres, provides innovative, cost-effective,
community-based primary health care, focusing on the care of people
facing barriers to health. Please see our website at http://www.kchc.ca.

The nurse practitioner provides family-centred primary health care to a
diverse client population, while emphasizing holistic care, health
promotion and disease prevention.  Working as a member of an
established and long-standing interdisciplinary team (physicians, nurse
practitioners, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, occupational
therapists, and community workers), the NP will focus on sexual health
and chronic disease management while also providing acute care to
clients of the centre. The NP will also assume responsibility for the
teen clinic at QECVI. There are many opportunities to enrich your
practice with program development and outreach. This is a turn-key
practice, with full services and support provided, including four weeks
paid vacation.

Position is available until October 2007 or the incumbent returns,
whichever is sooner.  This position covers a maternity leave
opening.

Qualifications: Registration in the Extended Class, Ontario College of Nurses
