Now Available--Agency Implementation Task Force Final Report

In carrying out its mandate, the Agency Implementation Task Force
(AITF) presented its final report to the Ministry of Health and
Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) in March 2006, with the agency's best advice on
the implementation of a public health agency for Ontario.

The final report outlines how the Agency could provide a valuable
support function as part of an overall emergency framework. The report
also contains advice on approaches to modernize and align the vital
role of the Ontario Public Health Laboratories within the overall
structure of the Agency, proposed governance structure, and suggested
mechanisms to ensure effective coordination between ministries and the
Agency.
