Description of the Position: Working closely with the Director, you will be responsible for efficient and effective coordination of all administrative aspects of two high profile programs. You will be responsible for financial monitoring of projects and cost centres and
will play a key role in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and strategic plans. You will also be responsible for all aspects of meeting preparation including scheduling, budgeting and recording minutes. You will act as a central resource for all staff and will supervise and coordinate workflow for clerical and secretarial staff. You will act as communication link and facilitate completion of projects for the Centre for Health Information and Promotion and Safe Kids Canada.
Qualifications: Ideally you have successfully completed a post secondary degree and/or are a graduate of a recognized secretarial program and have a minimum of 3 years of senior secretarial or administrative experience. You have exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
You are self-motivated, proactive, and have demonstrated excellence in organizing and prioritizing workflow. A high level of maturity and discretion is required for the position. You are highly computer literate and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel,
and FileMaker Pro as well as accurate keyboarding skills and experience in recording and transcribing minutes. Previous administrative experience is important.
