A brochure co-authored by Vancouver and Lower Mainland Multicultural Family Support Services of Burnaby, COSTI Immigrant Services of Toronto and the Child Welfare League of Canada offers ideas on disciplining children without physical punishment. Age-specific tips are suggested to encourage good behaviour in babies, one to two year olds, two to three year olds, and older children. Tips include communication skills, use of positive language and temper control techniques.
