Call for Participants--Science Odyssey 2018, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada

I am reaching out to you to invite your organization to participate in Science Odyssey 2018. The ten-day national STEM celebration will take place from May 11-20, 2018.

What is Science Odyssey?

As you may already know, Science Odyssey (http://www.sciod.ca/) is an effort to increase public awareness and participation in science, health, technology, maths and engineering, and to foster a stronger science culture in Canada. This celebration brings together diverse partners from government, academia, science centres and museums, libraries, schools and educators, parents and, most importantly, Canadian youth interested in STEM to promote science and cutting-edge Canadian research.

Why participate in Science Odyssey?

Science Odyssey partners play a key role in generating engagement and excitement throughout the 10 days and in showing Canadians how science, technology and innovation shape our daily lives. By joining forces we all increase science literacy in Canada and represent all major scientific fields.

Join Science Odyssey!

So get ready! Align your existing activities or plan a special event or series of activities related to STEM during Science Odyssey! Take advantage of this opportunity to further engage and attract your stakeholders to your own outreach goals. Be one of the close to 360 partners who in 2017 organized over 850 events in more than 250 communities in every province and territory across Canada. I have attached a one-pager for your information.

If you would like to receive periodic updates on the planning of Science Odyssey and how your organization can take part, please contact us at [email protected]. Registration of events will start early in 2018. We will also profile our partners on the Science Odyssey Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/ScienceOdyssey/), Twitter (https://twitter.com/Sci_Od), and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/Sci_Od/) year-round. If you have something to share, please let us know!
