Deadline January 28th, 2018
More young adults smoke in this province compared to all other age groups, and they overwhelmingly say that they want to quit. The best way to do that? Use evidence-based quit aids and get into a program that has been specifically tailored for young adults 18-29.
The wouldurather… contest is a proven intervention to help young adults to quit or cut back on their tobacco use. The contest uniquely offers four categories, so smokers can enter to quit, cut back by half, commit to partying without the smoke, or stay smoke-free.
In its 17th year, the wouldurather… contest supports contestants throughout the 6-week contest period through regular, tailored support emails, free nicotine replacement therapy, and integrated, proactive support from Smokers’ Helpline.
Contestants have the chance to win their share of $10,000 in cash prizes. You can promote this contest to young adults by ordering free promotional materials like posters and palm cards, or by sending an email out to your clients or service providers.
Online registration is open until January 28th, 2018.
