The Canadian Cancer Society is pleased to share a new video about HPV, produced in partnership with VICE media. This 10-minute video was created to raise awareness among millennials about the risk of HPV infection, its link with cancer in males and females and what can be done about it.
CCS has done a lot of work to educate the public about HPV, promote HPV vaccination and advocate for gender-neutral vaccination programs. In addition, HPV-associated cancers were featured as the special topic in Canadian Cancer Statistics 2016. Much of this work has been targeted to parents of school-aged children eligible to receive the HPV vaccination through school programs. This video is a chance for us to reach a new audience of millennials with critical information about HPV and cancer risk.
The video can be found on cancer.ca and is hosted on YouTube. We shared it with the public on social media via our Facebook and Twitter accounts. You can help us share the video with an even broader audience by liking and sharing our posts and by distributing it to your network of contacts as you see fit.
