User Interface(UI)/User Experience (UX) Developer, KFL&A Public Health

KFL&A Public Health is a local public health agency with over 200 staff and 150 volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the KFL&A area. There is an immediate opening for User Interface(UI)/User Experience (UX) Developer within the Knowledge Management Division.

The User Interface(UI)/User Experience (UX) Developer will be responsible for working closely with clients and the software development team to design and build highly interactive, responsive, and aesthetically attractive user experiences across the team’s e-health solution portfolio. The UI/UX Developer will design and develop rapid mock-ups of potential user interfaces for consideration, incorporate end user feedback, and then build and deploy the selected interface. The interfaces will be responsive for both the desktop and mobile devices, be AODA compliant, and be intuitive, elegant, and easily maintained.

The successful candidate will have a Post-secondary 3 year diploma in human-computer interaction, interaction design, computer programming, or a related technical program from a recognized school and have 1-2 years relevant experience in a software development environment, proven UI/UX experience, solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps and proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
