World Breastfeeding Week Event with Dr. Jack Newman, MD; Manulife Centre for Community Health Research

Dr. Newman is a world renown expert in breastfeeding support who talk will cover:

  • What they didn't teach you about breastfeeding in your training. Observation of video clips and discussion of what they mean.
  • Poor weight gain. Why babies don't gain. What can be done about it.
  • When the baby refuses to latch on.

Additional content: A service provider showcase will feature local and provincial representatives from breastfeeding support services and organizations.
 
This event is designed for health professionals, students, peer supporters and anyone interested in learning about evidence informed breastfeeding support practice.
