November 13, 2015
5:30-8:00 p.m. (EST)
The 519, 519 Church Street
Join the Wellesley Institute for the anticipated relaunch of our popular social determinants of health exhibit Making the Connections.
The evening will be set up gallery-style so you can have a first look at the updated version of Making the Connections. Light refreshments and a cash bar will be available from 5:30-8:00 p.m.
Starting at 6:30, our speakers will share rapid-fire, five-minute talks to inspire us to improve health and well-being in our communities. Topics include improving accessibility for social inclusion, the impact of technology on health, access to healthy food, the impact of education on the city's newcomers, and improving access to public greenspace.
Making the Connections walks Torontonians through some of the social factors that have a significant impact on our health: employment and income, housing, education, food, community, racism and racialization, and access to health care.
Please join us on November 13th for an evening of ideas and making our own connections to improve health and well-being for all in the GTA.
