On March 12, 2015, over forty people from all walks of life gathered to reflect on experiences related to embedding equity into efforts to improve the mental health and addictions system. The event was called “From the Margins to the Middle” (http://servicecollaboratives.ca/health-equity-from-the-margins-to-the-mi...) and was part of a series of knowledge exchange events hosted throughout Ontario called Collaborative Conversations: On the Road hosted by the Systems Improvement though Service Collaboratives (SISC, http://servicecollaboratives.ca/), exploring issues and learnings that have emerged.
The result of the From the Margins to the Middle event was a beginner’s guide for those interested in working toward equity within Ontario’s mental health system and beyond. The tools and strategies contained in this kit build on conversations at the knowledge exchange event.
