Primary Care: Promoting Excellence, Ontario Hospital Association

Toronto, Ontario
September 13, 2012
Primary care is the first point of contact for most patients, regardless of age or concern. The quality of the primary care system has a cascading effect throughout the entire health care system.

Given its pivotal role, continuous improvement and commitment to excellence is of the utmost importance.

A Primary Healthcare Planning Group was established with a mandate to build consensus on a strategy for strengthening primary care in Ontario. This group launched a report containing observations and recommendations to strengthen the primary care sector in Ontario.

The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) in collaboration with the Ontario College of Family Physicians, the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario, the Canadian Institute for Health Information and Ontario Medical Association invite you to join us on September 13, 2012 to participate in a discussion of best practices and case studies in primary care related to:

  • Quality
  • Access
  • Efficiency
  • Accountability
  • Governance
