Public Health Nurse – Tuberculosis Prevention & Health Promotion, Health Services – Communicable Diseases, Region of Peel

Brampton/Mississauga, Ontario

Temporary part-time:  duration approximately twenty (20) months

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Performing under medical directives and delivery of services in accordance with the Ontario Public Health Standards for Communicable Disease Control.
  2. Developing and maintaining linkages with other health professionals and agencies eg: physicians, local hospitals, schools, long term care facilities, multicultural organizations, government committees and groups.
  3. Developing educational support materials and providing educational sessions to the community and related health professionals.
  4. Case management of individuals under medical surveillance and those with latent TB infection (LTBI).

The position is located at 44 Peel Centre Drive in Brampton and will be relocating to 7120 Hurontario in Mississauga in the immediate future.
