With the expected Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) announcement that all new long term care home redevelopments must attain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, it is important for administrators and board members to understand LEED and to understand the implications of this new requirement on your capital project. This webinar will be delivered by MHPM Project Managers, a national firm specializing in capital building projects and sustainability.
This webinar will:
- Provide an overview of LEED and the Canada Green Building Council.
- Assist participants in differentiating between the Ministry's mandatory LEED requirement and higher LEED categories for which the Ministry is offering financial incentives.
- Help participants determine how they will choose the best LEED category for their capital project and what can be realistically achieved.
- Teach participants how to initiate LEED certification and the different roles and responsibilities of project team members for the life of the capital project.
