This week there will be three separate messages bringing you news, announcements, project descriptions, contacts and resources of interest to health promoters in Ontario.
A number of contributions have been received from some of the 110 members of this e-mail list. Several people asked about the promotion of this list, how other people might learn about it and join and how content is determined. And a couple of corrections and comments were received about last weeks bulletins. As a result, this issue begins with a brief description of the OHPE weekly bulletin, how to join [or leave], contribute to, and to find more information about the list and the bulletins.
The special focus this week is on francophone health promotion resources and initiatives. Although this OHPE Bulletin will be offered in primarily english, there are important projects and resources happening in the francophone community in Ontario and throughout Canada that involve people concerned with health promotion. Last week there were announcements of the Summer Schools on Health Promotion taking place in Ottawa and in Vancouver. We neglected to mention the francophone health promotion summer school taking place in Ottawa at the same time as the english one (June 16-19). So, this week there is a special feature on what's happening on the franchophone front.
